In Monday's league challenge, the visiting Surry County Cougars volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Greensville County Eagles.

The Cougars (9-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Southampton (Courtland, VA). The Indians come into the Tri-Rivers challenge with a 12-8 record. In their last test, Southampton was defeated by Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Eagles now own a 4-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin for a Tri-Rivers test on Tuesday, October 21. Greensville County will face a Broncos squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Sussex Central (Sussex, VA). The Broncos record now stands at 6-11.
