Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Lutheran Gryphons (Metairie, LA) and the host Varnado Wildcats (Angie, LA), observed Lutheran's volleyball team top Varnado by a count of 3-0.

The Gryphons (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against Ecole Classique (Metairie, LA). The Spartans go into the Division V District 8 battle with a 0-0 record.

The Wildcats now own a 0-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Amite for a non-league battle on Wednesday, October 22. Varnado will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Loranger (Loranger, LA). The Warriors record now stands at 6-11.
