In Friday's league match, the host Montour Spartans football squad scored a good 27-7 victory over the Blackhawk Cougars.
In their next game, the Spartans clash with the West Allegheny Indians (Imperial, PA) in a WPIAL AAAA Parkway match, on Friday, October 28. Montour will attempt to move on its 5-4 season record. The Indians enter the match with a 7-2 record after their 55-7 league loss to Central Valley (Monaca, PA).
The Cougars (3-6) will now prepare for their match against New Castle (New Castle, PA). The Hurricanes enter the WPIAL AAAA Parkway match with a 1-8 record. In their last match, New Castle was toppled by Ambridge (Ambridge, PA), 42-20, in a league match.
