In Friday's non-league battle, the host South Fork Cubs soccer squad scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Upper Lake Cougars.
The Cubs now sport a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Fortuna for a Humboldt - Del Norte - Big 5 test on Monday, October 24. South Fork will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Eureka (Eureka, CA). The Huskies record now stands at 6-6.
