The Cooper Cougars (Abilene, TX) volleyball overcame the visiting Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX), 3-0 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Cooper upgrades its record to 16-19 on the year. The Cougars travel to Coronado (Lubbock, TX) to face the Mustangs in a 5A Region I District 4 outing on Tuesday, October 25. The Mustangs go into the outing with a record of 12-28. Coronado lost 3-1 in their recent league outing against Wylie (Abilene, TX)

The Westerners now own a 5-31 record. They play next when they host Monterey for a 5A Region I District 4 outing on Tuesday, October 25. Lubbock will face a Plainsmen squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Cooper (Abilene, TX). The Plainsmen record now stands at 19-19.
