Alaska High School Volleyball - South Anchorage over Valdez

In Saturday's non-league contest, the South Anchorage Wolverines (Anchorage, AK) volleyball squad were winner over the host Valdez Buccaneers (Valdez, AK), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Wolverines battle the Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 21. South Anchorage will attempt to better on its 21-18 season record. The Thunderbirds go into the contest with a 37-12 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Lathrop (Fairbanks, AK).

With the loss, Valdez moves to 34-14 on the year. The Buccaneers travel to Galena (Galena, AK) to battle the Hawks in a 3A Aurora contest on Friday, October 27. The Hawks go into the contest with a record of 0-9. Galena lost 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Nome-Beltz (Nome, AK)
