The crowd at Monday's non-league contest between the Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles (Concord, CA) and the visiting Miramonte Matadors (Orinda, CA), witnessed Clayton Valley Charter's flag football squad edge Miramonte by a count of 27-20.
The Ugly Eagles (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Northgate (Walnut Creek, CA). The Broncos enter the Diablo - Foothill contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Northgate got by Acalanes (Lafayette, CA), 13-6, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Matadors confront the Alhambra Bulldogs (Martinez, CA) in a Diablo - Valley contest, on Wednesday, October 30. Miramonte will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 14-5 record after their 45-0 league win over Mt. Diablo (Concord, CA).
