The Payson Longhorns smashed the visiting Chino Valley Cougars soccer squad by a margin of 8-0 in Monday's league bout.

The Longhorns now hold a 14-4 record. They play next when they travel to Snowflake for a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 23. Payson will play a Lobos squad coming off a 7-2 league win over Blue Ridge (Lakeside, AZ). The Lobos record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Chino Valley moves to 6-8 on the year. The Cougars host Blue Ridge (Lakeside, AZ) to play the Yellow Jackets in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 24. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a record of 11-7. Blue Ridge won 4-1 in their recent league bout against St. Johns (St. Johns, AZ)
