The Thomas Jefferson Gryphons soccer squad scored 8 points and held the visiting Bessemer City Yellow Jackets to 0 in the Gryphons league victory on Monday.
The Gryphons now hold a 15-3 record. They play next when they host Burns for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A bout on Wednesday, October 23. Thomas Jefferson will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-5.
With the loss, Bessemer City moves to 3-12 on the year. The Yellow jackets host Shelby (Shelby, NC) to play the Golden Lions in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A bout on Wednesday, October 23. The Golden Lions go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Shelby won 8-0 in their recent league bout against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC)
