In Monday's league outing, the host Highlands Highlanders soccer squad scored a tight 4-0 win over the Tri-County Jaguars.

The Highlanders (9-6) will now prepare for their outing against Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Maroon Devils enter the Smoky Mountain 1A outing with a 9-7 record. In their last outing, Swain County tipped Cherokee (Cherokee, NC), 8-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Jaguars confront the Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A outing, on Wednesday, October 23. Tri-County will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Bulldogs enter the outing with a 9-8 record after their 2-1 league win over Hayesville (Hayesville, NC).
