In Monday's non-league challenge, the host L.W. Higgins Hurricanes volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the New Orleans Charter Science & Math Chambered Nautilus.

The Hurricanes (4-16) will now prepare for their challenge against New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy (New Orleans, LA). The Bulldogs enter the Division II District 8 challenge with a 3-16 record. In their last challenge, New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy was beaten by Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy (Westwego, LA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Chambered Nautilus meet the Cohen Green Hornets (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 22. New Orleans Charter Science & Math will attempt to upgrade on its 12-11 season record. The Green Hornets enter the challenge with a 3-9 record after their 3-0 league win over International (New Orleans, LA).
