Virginia High School Volleyball - Western Branch over Lakeland

Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) and the visiting Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA), observed Western Branch's volleyball team top Lakeland by a count of 3-0.

The Bruins (15-3) will now prepare for their contest against Hickory (Chesapeake, VA). The Hawks enter the Southeastern contest with a 14-6 record. In their last contest, Hickory notched a victory over Norfolk Christian (Norfolk, VA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Cavaliers battle the Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern battle, on Thursday, October 23. Lakeland will attempt to improve on its 4-17 season record. The Hornets go into the battle with a 5-16 record after their 3-2 league loss to King's Fork (Suffolk, VA).
