Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM) and the visiting Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM), observed Piedra Vista's volleyball team top Farmington by a count of 2-0.
The Panthers (11-2) will now prepare for their contest against Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM). The Hawks enter the battle with a 10-3 record. In their last battle, Volcano Vista achieved victory over Cibola (Albuquerque, NM), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
The Scorpions now own a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rio Rancho for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 23. Farmington will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM). The Rams record now stands at 9-6.
