In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Charlottesville Black Knights volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Albemarle Patriots.

The Black Knights (9-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 12-2 record. In their last challenge, Western Albemarle edged Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Patriots play the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 23. Albemarle will attempt to advance on its 12-3 season record. The Flying Flucos go into the test with a 13-5 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Monticello (Charlottesville, VA).
