Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Falls Lake Firebirds (Creedmoor, NC) and the host Henderson Collegiate Pride (Henderson, NC), saw Falls Lake's soccer squad triumph over Henderson Collegiate by a count of 8-0.
The Firebirds (15-4) will now prepare for their battle against Discovery Charter School (Bahama, NC). The Trailblazers enter the non-league battle with a 0-9 record. In their last battle, Discovery Charter School was overwhelmed by Vance Charter (Henderson, NC), 9-0, in a league match.
The Pride now sport a 7-14 record. They take the field next when they host Oxford Prep for a Triangle North 1A/2A match on Tuesday, October 28. Henderson Collegiate will meet a Griffins team coming off a 2-0 league win over Eno River Academy (Hillsborough, NC). The Griffins record now stands at 11-6.
