Texas High School Volleyball - Somerville trounced by Burton

The Burton Panthers volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Somerville Yeguas to 0 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now have a 30-9 record. They play next when they host Snook for a 2A Region IV District 25 outing on Tuesday, October 7. Burton will play a Bluejays team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Fayetteville (Fayetteville, TX). The Bluejays record now stands at 5-11.

With the loss, Somerville moves to 13-11 on the season. The Yeguas travel to Mumford (Mumford, TX) to confront the Mustangs in a 2A Region IV District 25 game on Tuesday, October 7. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 21-15. Mumford won 3-0 in their recent league game against Hearne (Hearne, TX)
