Saugus Sachems (Saugus, MA) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Gloucester Fishermen (Gloucester, MA), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Sachems (9-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Lynn English (Lynn, MA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 2-16 record. In their last challenge, Lynn English was beaten by Salem (Salem, MA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Fishermen meet the Northeast Metro RVT Knights (Wakefield, MA) in a non-league test, on Thursday, October 23. Gloucester will attempt to improve on its 1-15 season record. The Knights go into the test with a 10-7 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Whittier RVT (Haverhill, MA).
