The Vernon Hills Cougars topped the visiting Maine East Blue Demons volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Tuesday's league game.

Next up, the Cougars face the Highland Park Giants (Highland Park, IL) in a Central Suburban game, on Thursday, October 23. Vernon Hills will attempt to advance on its 21-13 season record. The Giants go into the game with a 11-16 record after their 2-0 league win over Niles West (Skokie, IL).

The Blue Demons (8-21) will now prepare for their outing against Niles North (Skokie, IL). The Vikings come into the Central Suburban outing with a 16-15 record. In their last outing, Niles North beat Maine West (Des Plaines, IL), 2-0, in a league outing.
