St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Cadets (15-8) will now prepare for their challenge against The Academy of the Holy Cross (Kensington, MD). The Tartans come into the Washington Catholic challenge with a 25-0 record. In their last challenge, The Academy of the Holy Cross beat Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Falcons play the St. Mary's Ryken Knights (Leonardtown, MD) in a Washington Catholic challenge, on Friday, October 24. Our Lady of Good Counsel will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 3-12 record after their 3-0 league loss to Paul VI (Chantilly, VA).
