In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Portland Raiders volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Fowlerville Gladiators.
The Raiders (19-17) will now prepare for their battle against New Lothrop (New Lothrop, MI). The Hornets come into the non-league battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, New Lothrop was edged by Mt. Morris (Mt. Morris, MI), 3-2, in a league battle.
Next, the Gladiators clash with the St. Johns Redwings (St. Johns, MI) in a Capital Area - Red battle, on Wednesday, October 26. Fowlerville will attempt to advance on its 1-5 season record. The Redwings come into the battle with a 31-9 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Williamston (Williamston, MI).
