Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Gilbert Yellowjackets (Winsted, CT), 6-1 in a league test.
With the triumph, Nonnewaug moves its record to 9-9 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Housatonic-Lakeview (Falls Village, CT) to clash with the Mountaineers in a non-league test on Thursday, October 24. The Mountaineers come into the test with a record of 4-2.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 3-10 record.
