Rhode Island High School Soccer - Mt. Hope knocks off Smithfield

The Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) soccer overwhelmed the visiting Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI), 9-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.

The Huskies now hold a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Pilgrim for a Division 1 challenge on Thursday, October 24. Mt. Hope will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI). The Patriots record now stands at 1-15.

With the loss, Smithfield moves to 1-13 on the year. The Sentinels travel to East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI) to encounter the Avengers in a Division 1 challenge on Thursday, October 24. The Avengers go into the challenge with a record of 7-6. East Greenwich won 2-1 in their recent league challenge against Barrington (Barrington, RI)
