North Carolina High School Soccer - Oxford Prep held off by Vance Charter

In Tuesday's league contest, the Vance Charter Knights (Henderson, NC) soccer team edged the host Oxford Prep Griffins (Oxford, NC), by a tally of 3-2.

Next, the Knights face the Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions (Durham, NC) in a Triangle North 1A contest, on Wednesday, October 23. Vance Charter will attempt to advance on its 13-5 season record. The Flying Lions enter the contest with a 9-0 record after their 2-1 league win over Voyager (Durham, NC).

The Griffins (5-13) will now prepare for their contest against Eno River (Hillsborough, NC). The Bobcats enter the Triangle North 1A contest with a 6-12 record. In their last contest, Eno River held off Roxboro Community (Roxboro, NC), 7-0, in a league contest.
