Alcona Tigers (Lincoln, MI) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Rogers City Hurons (Rogers City, MI), 1-0 in a league test.

With the win, Alcona improves its record to 9-9 on the season. The Tigers travel to Mio-Au Sable (Mio, MI) to face the Thunderbolts in a North Star test on Thursday, October 24. The Thunderbolts go into the test with a record of 0-1.

The Hurons now own a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oscoda for a North Star test on Thursday, October 24. Rogers City will face a Owls squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Posen (Posen, MI). The Owls record now stands at 17-6.
