Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Springfield Bulldogs (Springfield, LA) and the host Independence Tigers (Independence, LA), observed Springfield's volleyball team top Independence by a count of 3-0.

The Bulldogs (10-13) will now prepare for their contest against Pine (Franklinton, LA). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Pine was knocked off by Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Tigers meet the Franklinton Demons (Franklinton, LA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, October 28. Independence will attempt to move on its 5-13 season record. The Demons enter the contest with a 6-6 record after their 3-0 non-league win over St. Helena College and Career Academy (Greensburg, LA).
