In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host Indian River Braves volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Lakeland Cavaliers.

The Braves (9-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA). The Hornets go into the non-league test with a 3-13 record. In their last test, Deep Creek went down by Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA), 2-1, in a non-league test.

The Cavaliers now sport a 3-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to King's Fork for a non-league test on Monday, October 27. Lakeland will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-14.
