Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC), 10-1 in a league bout.
The Gryphons now possess a 19-1 record. They play next when they travel to Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy for a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A bout on Monday, October 27. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy will play a Eagles team coming off a 0-0 league Carolina International (Concord, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 4-11.
The Mariners (10-9) will now prepare for their game against Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC). The Raptors come into the Catawba River 1A/2A/3A bout with a 12-6 record. In their last bout, Mountain Island Charter thwarted Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC), 3-0, in a league bout.
