The South Lenoir Blue Devils soccer squad (Deep Run, NC), was edged 1-0 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC)
The Patriots (9-10) will now prepare for their battle against East Duplin (Beulaville, NC). The Panthers enter the East Central 3A/4A battle with a 12-7 record. In their last battle, East Duplin was edged by Clinton (Clinton, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.
The Blue Devils now sport a 5-12 record. They take the field next when they host Southwest Onslow for a East Central 3A/4A match on Monday, October 27. South Lenoir will meet a Stallions team coming off a 1-0 league win over Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC). The Stallions record now stands at 4-12.
