New London Whalers (New London, CT) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Killingly Redmen (Killingly, CT), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Whalers face the Tourtellotte Tigers (North Grosvenordale, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 27. New London will attempt to better on its 10-5 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 1-14 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Plainfield (Central Village, CT).

The Redmen now have a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they host Lyman Memorial for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, October 25. Killingly will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-1 league win over Griswold (Griswold, CT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-10.
