In Monday's league battle, the host Washburn Cardinals volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig] Storm.
The Cardinals (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Garrison (Garrison, ND). The Troopers come into the B - Region 5 battle with a 2-11 record. In their last battle, Garrison was edged by Surrey (Surrey, ND), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Storm clash with the Glen Ullin/Hebron Bearcats (Glen Ullin, ND) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 24. Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig] will attempt to advance on its 8-5 season record. The Bearcats come into the battle with a 6-11 record after their 3-0 league loss to Beulah (Beulah, ND).
