The Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC) soccer nipped the visiting Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC), 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

The Rams now hold a 14-1 record. They play next when they host Thomas Jefferson for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge on Monday, October 28. Highland Tech will encounter a Gryphons squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Burns (Lawndale, NC). The Gryphons record now stands at 16-3.

With the loss, Piedmont Community Charter moves to 10-4 on the year. The Patriots host Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC) to encounter the Stallions in a Metro Eight 1A challenge on Friday, October 25. The Stallions go into the challenge with a record of 6-8. Queen's Grant won 6-0 in their recent league challenge against Carolina International (Concord, NC)
