Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) and the host Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC), saw Pisgah's soccer squad hold off Tuscola by a count of 3-2.

The Bears (9-7) will now prepare for their battle against East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC). The Eagles enter the Mountain Seven 3A battle with a 5-10 record. In their last battle, East Henderson was edged by North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC), 1-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Mountaineers confront the West Henderson Falcons (Hendersonville, NC) in a Mountain Seven 3A battle, on Thursday, October 24. Tuscola will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Falcons enter the battle with a 10-6 record after their 1-0 league win over Pisgah (Canton, NC).
