In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the visiting L.W. Higgins Hurricanes volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the West St. John Rams.
The Hurricanes (6-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Belle Chasse (Belle Chasse, LA). The Cardinals come into the Division II District 8 challenge with a 21-8 record. In their last challenge, Belle Chasse lost by Academy of Our Lady (Marrero, LA), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Rams play the South Plaquemines Hurricanes (Buras, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 26. West St. John will attempt to upgrade on its 4-19 season record. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Riverdale (Jefferson, LA).
