In Thursday's league challenge, the host Churchill Lancers volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Eagle Point Eagles.
The Lancers (14-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Crater (Central Point, OR). The Comets enter the 5A Midwestern challenge with a 16-3 record. In their last challenge, Crater beat Springfield (Springfield, OR), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Eagles meet the Ashland Grizzlies (Ashland, OR) in a 5A Midwestern challenge, on Tuesday, October 28. Eagle Point will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Grizzlies go into the test with a 11-11 record after their 3-2 non-league win over St. Mary's (Medford, OR).
