The South Eugene Axe football team (Eugene, OR), was ripped 42-3 in Monday's league challenge with the host Eagle Point Eagles (Eagle Point, OR)
The Eagles (8-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Springfield (Springfield, OR). The Millers come into the 5A Special District 2 challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Springfield was ripped by North Eugene (Eugene, OR), 22-13, in a league challenge.
The Axe now sport a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crater for a 5A Special District 2 challenge on Friday, October 28. South Eugene will meet a Comets team coming off a 13-7 league loss to Churchill (Eugene, OR). The Comets record now stands at 2-6.
