The Volcano Vista Hawks held off the visiting Rio Rancho Rams soccer squad by a margin of 2-1 in Monday's non-league match.
The Hawks now sport a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to La Cueva for a non-league match on Thursday, October 27. Volcano Vista will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM). The Bears record now stands at 11-0.
With the loss, Rio Rancho drops to 9-5 on the season.
