The Watauga Pioneers smashed the host Freedom Patriots soccer squad by a margin of 6-1 in Monday's league match.
The Pioneers now sport a 10-8 record. They play next when they host Ashe County for a Northwestern 3A/4A match on Wednesday, October 26. Watauga will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 9-9.
With the loss, Freedom drops to 5-11 on the season. The Patriots travel to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to encounter the Cougars in a Northwestern 3A/4A match on Wednesday, October 26.
