Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs confront the East Henderson Eagles (East Flat Rock, NC) in a Mountain Seven 3A challenge, on Wednesday, October 26. Smoky Mountain will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 4-1 league loss to Pisgah (Canton, NC).

The Mountaineers now have a 2-13 record. They take the field next when they host West Henderson for a Mountain Seven 3A challenge on Wednesday, October 26. Tuscola will confront a Falcons team coming off a 2-2 league Franklin (Franklin, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 9-8.
