The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Corona/Vaughn (Corona, NM) and the visiting Hondo Valley Eagles (Hondo, NM), saw Corona/Vaughn's volleyball squad nip Hondo Valley by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Corona/Vaughn upgrades its record to 4-11 on the year. The travel to Alamo Navajo (Magdalena, NM) to play the Cougars in a 1A District 3 bout on Wednesday, October 25. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 14-4. Alamo Navajo won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM)

The Eagles now own a 3-11 record. They play next when they travel to Mountainair for a 1A District 3 bout on Thursday, November 2. Hondo Valley will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-15.
