The Pioneers now hold a 10-3 record. They play next when they travel to Alexander Central for a bout on Monday, October 28. Watauga will play a Cougars squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 8-5.

With the loss, Ashe County moves to 0-7 on the year. The Huskies host Hibriten (Lenoir, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Monday, October 28. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Hibriten 1-1 in their recent non-league match against Watauga (Boone, NC)
