In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host St. Pius X Sartans volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Belen Eagles.
The Sartans (13-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Grants (Grants, NM). The Pirates enter the challenge with a 11-6 record. In their last challenge, Grants was beaten by Valencia (Los Lunas, NM), 2-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Eagles meet the Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 29. Belen will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Hornets enter the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM).
