In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Maplewood Baptist Academy Black Bears volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Boyne Falls Loggers.

The Black Bears (6-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Engadine (Engadine, MI). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 0-19 record. In their last challenge, Engadine was nudged by Brimley (Brimley, MI), 2-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Loggers play the Central Lake Trojans (Central Lake, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 28. Boyne Falls will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 6-16 record after their 3-1 league loss to Pellston (Pellston, MI).
