Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Grosse Pointe North Norsemen (Grosse Pointe, MI) and the visiting Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI), observed Grosse Pointe North's volleyball team top Utica by a count of 3-1.

The Norsemen (13-13) will now prepare for their contest against Dakota (Macomb, MI). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 12-25 record. In their last contest, Dakota was knocked off by Anchor Bay (Fair Haven, MI), 3-0, in a league contest.
