The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) and the visiting Cigarroa Toros (Laredo, TX), saw Nixon's football team triumph over Cigarroa by a final score of 40-0.

With the win, Nixon advances its record to 6-3 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Martin (Laredo, TX) to encounter the Tigers in a 5A-1 Region IV District 14 battle on Saturday, November 8. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 2-6.

Coming up next, the Toros confront the Martin Tigers (Laredo, TX) in a 5A-1 Region IV District 14 match, on Thursday, October 30. Cigarroa will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 2-6 record after their 36-7 league loss to Jay (San Antonio, TX).
