Jefferson Davis Academy Raiders (Blackville, SC) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host King's Academy Lions (Florence, SC), 74-72 in a league battle.

With the win, Jefferson Davis Academy improves its record to 7-2 on the season. The Raiders host Holly Hill Academy (Holly Hill, SC) to play the Raiders in a SCISA 8-Man Region II (8 Man) challenge on Friday, October 31. The Raiders go into the challenge with a record of 9-0. Holly Hill Academy won 56-12 in their recent league challenge against Cross (Bluffton, SC)

The Lions (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Cathedral Academy (North Charleston, SC). The Generals go into the SCISA 8-Man Region II (8 Man) challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Cathedral Academy was edged by Palmetto Christian Academy (Mt. Pleasant, SC), 44-26, in a league challenge.
