With the win, Mesa Vista upgrades its record to 2-13 on the year. The Trojans host McCurdy (Espanola, NM) to play the Bobcats in a 2A District 5 bout on Thursday, October 26. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 10-5. McCurdy lost 3-1 in their recent league bout against Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM)

The Panthers now own a 7-9 record. They play next when they host Mora for a 2A District 5 bout on Thursday, October 26. Penasco will confront a Rangers/Rangerettes team coming off a 3-1 league win over Mesa Vista (Ojo Caliente, NM). The Rangers/Rangerettes record now stands at 4-11.
