South Dakota High School Volleyball - Brookings edged by Spearfish

Spearfish Spartans (Spearfish, SD) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Brookings Bobcats (Brookings, SD), 2-1 in a league challenge.

The Spartans (18-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Rapid City Central (Rapid City, SD). The Cobblers go into the AA District 1 test with a 13-13 record. In their last test, Rapid City Central nudged Yankton (Yankton, SD), 3-0, in a league test.

The Bobcats now sport a 9-20 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pierre T.F. Riggs for a AA District 1 test on Tuesday, October 28. Brookings will play a Governors team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Aberdeen Central (Aberdeen, SD). The Governors record now stands at 3-15.
