Central Wildcats (Baton Rouge, LA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Wildcats (18-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Liberty Magnet (Baton Rouge, LA). The Patriots come into the Division I District 4 challenge with a 9-24 record. In their last challenge, Liberty Magnet was beaten by Baton Rouge (Baton Rouge, LA), 3-1, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bearcats face the Captain Shreve Gators (Shreveport, LA) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, October 28. Ruston will attempt to advance on its 12-14 season record. The Gators go into the test with a 12-23 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Loyola College Prep (Shreveport, LA).
