Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Dayton Pirates (Dayton, OR) and the visiting Salem Academy Crusaders (Salem, OR), observed Dayton's volleyball team top Salem Academy by a count of 3-0.

The Pirates (19-4) will now prepare for their contest against Santiam Christian (Corvallis, OR). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 14-9 record. In their last contest, Santiam Christian notched a victory over Taft (Lincoln City, OR), 3-2, in a league contest.

Next, the Crusaders meet the Coquille Red Devils (Coquille, OR) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, November 1. Salem Academy will attempt to improve on its 19-7 season record. The Red Devils go into the challenge with a 14-6 record after their 3-1 league win over South Umpqua (Myrtle Creek, OR).
