In Saturday's non-league match, the Mercy Monarchs (Omaha, NE) volleyball team held off the host Gross Catholic Cougars (Omaha, NE), by a margin of 2-1.
The Monarchs now possess a 15-16 record.
With the loss, Gross Catholic drops to 18-13 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Northwest (Grand Island, NE) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 30. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 22-10. Northwest won 3-2 in their recent non-league match against York (York, NE)
